I am the Managing Director of Alcom Ltd situated at the above
address. My company has been resident at this address since
1975. My company deals in Electronic Communications and
Security Systems. We do not deal direct with the public.
Most of our business is through Government Authorities.
[Undisclosed material]
Today, 20th May, 1987, I was shown a sealed bag containing
an Alcom Security Pass bearing the name P KOUPPARIS (Exhibit
NP/672) and another sealed bag (Exhibit NP/675) containing
business cards including two bearing the name P KOUPPARIS.
The security Pass as far as I am concerned was not issued
by my company, therefore it is a forgery. Reasons being,
KOUPPARIS was never involved with operations at Abbey House,
the code for Abbey House was SG and the numbers of the uniform
guard was followed by the letter 'A'. KOUPPARIS's pass
states 'HQ'. All photographs for officers employed at Abbey

House had a green background where P KOUPPARIS's pass has
blue. In fact all employees at Abbey House were uniform
officers except the Manager. The contract for Abbey House
was a two year contract from 1981 to 1983. My company
collected all security passes when they expired, when a
employee was dismissed and when the contract finished. One
other point, on the genuine pass there is a space where
a clip was positioned in order that the person could wear
the pass whilst on duty, on KOUPPARIS's pass there is no
such place.

Going on to the business cards, the card bearing the company
name and symbol, P KOUPPARIS and the address 299A Edgware
Road, W2. This is a genuine card as he worked for us on
a part time basis. The other card bearing the companies
names, the name of KOUPPARIS and the position of Vice Presi-
dent to the best of my knowledge was not issued to KOUPPARIS.
We have never had a position in the company of Vice President.
I will say we did have a quantity of cards printed with
the centre blanked out in order that individuals could write
their own names in the space. These cards were printed
for occasional use for personal consultants.

I first met Panos KOUPPARIS in 1976 when he was introduced
to me by my Sales Manager at that time, Arthur P JOHNSON,
known as Johnny JOHNSON. Johnny JOHNSON prior to joining
my company was an M.O.D. Official. From then, he worked
for the company on a Part Time basis working on commission

sales only. At the same time he opened a shop in Edgware
Road, under the trade name of ELSCAN Ltd, 350 Edgware Road,
W2. In this shop he sold telephone answering machines.
The customers he introduced to my company included the Nigerian
Police Force and Saudi Arabian Customs and Excise. He worked
for the company from 1977 to 1981. During this time his
wife KIKA also worked for me as a secretary for a short
period of time. In 1981 KOUPPARIS disappeared. Prior to
disappearing he told that he had made a lot of money
'Playing the Stock Market'. From 1981 until the first week
of April 1987 I didn't see or hear from KOUPPARIS. During
this period I tried to contact him because the American
Express Company had approached me and were trying to locate
him. Also I had various people telephoning me enquiring
about him.
[Undisclosed material]
On Tuesday 7th April 1987 in the evening at about 6.30 pm
to 7.00 pm in my office I could tell that he was using a
frequency shifter on the telephone, cause at first I thought
someone was playing a practical joke. He then told who
he was. I was surprised to hear from him. Later he came
to my office and we spoke for a few minutes. I could tell
that he had changed and I couldn't understand that he was
wearing a hat in the office, sunglasses at night and a glove
on his left hand. He told me that Pan KOUPPARIS was dead
and he is known by another, however he would not tell me
this name. He also told me that he had a number of passports
in different names. I formed the opinion that he was trying

to impress me. He also told me that he was staying at the
Intercontinental Hotel but he wouldn't say what name that
he was registered under. He also stated that he was soon
to travel to America.

I produce a blank print out for our Security Passes as Exhibit
JAM/1.
