This statement, * consisting of 5 pages each signed by me, is true to
the best of my knowledge and belief and I make it knowing that, if it
is tendered in evidence, I shall be liable to prosecution if I have
wilfully stated in it anything which I know to be false or do not
believe to be true.

On Wednesday 8th April, 1987, as a result of enquiries I went
to Moore Print Craft Ltd, 53 Grove Vale, London, SE22, where
I took possession of an Adler typewriter (Exhibit MD/1) and a
typewriter ribbon (Exhibit MD/2) from the said typewriter. These
items I handed to Detective Constable Pratt at New Scotland Yard
the same day.

On Tuesday 12th May, 1987, at 10.05 am I eras handed twenty (20)
£10 Bank of England notes from Detective Chief Inspector EDWARDS
bearing the following numbers:- AX84 084282; AY70 431473; BN06
924544; AW18 827593; BN19 455539; AU37 115631; AW56 874353;
AH80 898288; AX25 700748; BR06 414822; BR33 337219; AX76 870698;
AW32 771215; BR33 260397; AY31 090762; AZ56 594019; AZ17 851880;
AZ43 889721; 58B 957856; 72K 788524. 1 then took these notes
to the Metropolitan Police Forensic Laboratory where I handed
them to Mr Graham GOY. I was present whilst Mr GOY used these

notes to make ten (10) heat sealed money packets purportiing
to be a total of £25,000. Mr GOY and I then took the ten (10)
packets to Dr Brian GIBBONS of the Metropolitan Police Forensic
Laboratory. Dr GIBBONS then placed the ten (10) packets in a
plain brown envelope and sealed it.

On Thursday 14th May, 1987 I went to the Laboratory and collected
the envelope from Dr GIBBONS. I then took the envelope to the
High Commission of Cyprus, 93 Park Street, London, W1, where
I handed it to Mr Tasos PANAYIDES. I was then shown into an
office on the first floor of the High Commission where I remained.
at 11.32 am I saw a man who I now know to be Panos KOUPPARIS
enter the High Commissioners office. At 11.39 am I saw KOUPPARIS
leave the said office carrying the brown envelope. After a few
moments I left the High Commission and saw that KOUPPARIS had
been detained by Detective Constable MADDEN and Detective Sergeant
AYRES.

I then went to Paddington Green Police Station where I was shown
the brown envelope which was open containing eight (8) heat sealed
packets with a £10 Bank of England note at the top of each bearing
the following numbers:- AZ43 889721; AZ56 594019; BN06 924544;
BN19 455539; AX84 084282; AX76 870698; AX25 700748; AX31 090762;
(Exhibit NP/668). I was also shown a heat sealed packet with a
£10 Bank of England note at the top with serial number AW56 874353
(Exhibit NP/666) and a further heat sealed packet with a £10 Bank
of England note at the top with two serial number BR06 414822

Later that evening

in the Charge Room at Paddington Green Police Station I was pre-
sent in company with Detective Chief Inspector EDWARDS when Panos
KOUPPARIS was charged at 6.24 pm to which he made no reply.
