Statments of four schoolchildren calling themselves 'The Posse'. They befriended Panos Koupparis in the period before his arrest by the British anti terrorist squad. Each child was asked to produce a second statement in an attempt to implicate Panos' wife Kika. The youngsters were members of a group of high-living teenagers dubbed 'wild-child kids' by the British tabloid press during 1987-89.
Their statements were heavily censored by Scotland Yard and/or the prosecution to conceal evidence which supported the defence. Use a HTML-table aware browser for this 'synoptic compilation' of all eight statements which illustrates how simultaneous eye-witness accounts can vary dramatically. The document is part of a demonstration of how defence and prosecution lawyers knowingly suppressed vital defence evidence. This is one scandal the trial judge cannot disown.
